sr20 block question

I was wondering if I should go ahead and get stronger rods for the sr20det before I put it in. I plan to eventually put a T3 or T3T4 hybrid in and want to run about 20-25psi no more than 400hp probably. I've heard they can take 4-500hp. Can the stock rods take this power reliably(wont throw a rod)? If not, are the S14 black top rods the same as the red top? I assume they are.

I was thinking of a T3 or T3T4 hybrid (garret of course). My buddy has a '02 1.8t GTI and he thinks the GT30 is the way to go, but I want big power cause he rolls me and my KA motor. I would be very happy with a T3T4(40 trim) with 3 inch intake and exhaust. Do you think the block could take this power?

What parts should I upgrade? Crank bearings, rod bearings, and what about pistons?

GT30... what? 37, 40 ??

Dont worry about upgrading parts based off the size of your turbo. It's how much boost (therefor horsepower) your gonna push. If you plan on going to 500hp you should upgrade the bottom block minus the crank. I think you'll be straight without having to do that. Remember also that with a large turbo comes large lag and to fight this your gonna need a head tune.

At the most i'd like to spike at 23-25psi. Only at the track of course, or when next to an @sshole mustang driver. I think my buddy wants GT3037, what do you think? T3T4 or GT30
