Exclamation SR20 dies if I let it idle after initial startup

I just recently installed a SR20DET onto my S13. Whenever I let it idle after just starting it, the revs would go too low and start bogging until it dies. Don't know if this is normal or not or if anyone else is having this problem. I need some input on why this is happening and possibly how to solve it. .......... thanks

From what i gather..... this is normal. Apparently the engines sit around for awhile before any starts them up again. I would say it shoud start after, at most, 10 tries.... any more than that than you got a problem.

check your spark plugs, coil pack and more importantly take it to a mechanic to check the timing.

yo... the motor needs fuel! it could be your fuel delivery system.... not feeding the DET engine which is causing it to idle out and die... check out www.sr20detperformance.com for high fuel flow pumps and parts for your motor! You are dealing with a common problem amongst many sr20det owners....laters

I can drive the car around without it dying. The problem only shows itself when the car is just started and letting it idle. So I don't know why this is.
