Angry SR20 problems

Okae guys this is what is happening...i start the sr she is running fine at an idle but once you get to about 2500-3000rpm she will bog out...but then after that she clears and will go into boost...i thought it was an intercooler leak so i bought a new hot pipe went over all my piping and everything and it isn't....thought maybe is was the MAF so i took my friends put it on and it wasn't....still did the same thing....i have a small crack in the intake pipe going from the MAF to the turbo but i taped it off and it isn't leaking there anymore but i still don't think that it would cause a problem though... well nothing like this atleast...she is running rich too...could i not be getting enough air at idle or before boost and then once it goes into boost it has all the air...i'm nto sure what it is.....also i have the vac for the waste gate on the niple under the trottle body is that where it goes cause i was told on the intercooler pipe where it is suppose to go but i don't have a niple for a vac hose on my intercooler pipe...

ok...well i had basically the same problem 2 weeks ago. this is what was wrong with mine in a whole to lead up to those some symptoms.

check all your plug and wires. i was only firing on # 1, 2, and 4 cylinder. make sure all your coil on plugs are connected.

make sure your MAF wiring is completely correct(what kind of MAF are you using?) a SR motor with idle and run up to 2500 rpm's before it starts to act funny.

make sure that your MAF is flowing the right directiong

i dont have the correct vaccum diagram in front of me but as soon as i can get it in front of me i will let you know the correct placement. it was pretty confusing.

are you running a boost controller of any kind? if so what kind.

Jay

Vacuum off the wastegate goes to the charge pipe going towards the intercooler.

You really need to finish the job before trying to make it run right. The problem is you are too rushed to hear the motor and not taking enough time to finisht he install. Get an outlet/nipple welded to the pipe off the turbo and get that crack welded.

Also, you might want to check your O2 sensor. That can cause all sorts of weird bogging or rich/lean conditions if it is not functioning properly

thanks for the information but i haven't been rushing it i've been taking my time on this swap i know not to rush the crack is on the intake pipe the OEM which is rubber and you can't weld that so i'm saving for a new intake. so the vacuum line for the wategate goes onto the intercooler pipe where the blow off is or after the BOV
