sr20det bluebird and sr20det gti-r

do sr20det bluebirds and sr20det gti-r's fit into s13? ive never even heard of the bluebird up untill recently. Whats the difference between these engines and a normal sr20det,ive heard of the gti-r being used in 200sx's ?('')

Get a g20 or a sentra and drop your gtir in there. They are fun cars. I dd a g20. Seating for 4 and suspension rocks.

doesn't the engine turn the same way, it is just turned sideways in the car? I believe it is the same engine but with a different tranny (and maybe ECU?)

I would very much want to find out if this is a viable option because all of the engine sourcers will sell you a bluebird front clip for the price of an s13 engine+tranny+harness+cpu

since I do not need the transmission for my project this would be ideal (if the cpu is the same)

An engine does not care how it is mounted. All that matters is the direction of rotation, the flywheel housing, etc.

I would suspect that the transmission and motor mounts are the biggest difference.

ummm... NO NO NO!

yes it is possible to make it work, but to do so is going to bring the price up to the point where it's not worth it (unless you're DAMN good at custom fab). ANYTHING is possible with the right amt. of $$$

As stated above, the swap is possible, but very expensive.

Intake and exhaust manifolds, mounts, fans, valve cover, head....it's all different my friend.....

Don't be cheap with swaps or boost. A cheap swap will always cost more in the end

The engineering, tools and skills needed to do it outweigh just getting a SR that mounts correctly.

Yes there are some goodies that can be shared from engine to engine with some modding but blocks...........
