You can only boost about 9-10 if you have the stock SMIC.

To be safe I would upgrade your fuel pump before I started upping the boost. A $100 Walbro is alot cheaper than a new motor. After that 10psi on a stock sidemount and 14-15psi on stock turbo/injectors.

well so u guys are saying i need to upgrade the fuel pump and rail injectors?..... to how many cc's?

gerbort May 18, 2004 10:48 AM

no...he's saying up to 10 psi is safe w/ stock SMIC and a upgraded fuel pump...want to go higher...get a better intercooler...then you can go ~14 psi.....after that you're beyond the efficiency of the turbo...if you want to go higher than that get a better turbo and upgrade your injectors...wouldn't hurt to upgrade injectors...then you need to get an SAFC to control

gerbot got it right, but I would only boost to 13. Most people go 550CC's.
