From my experience with redtop and blacktop SR's you really don't make much power past 7200 rpm, so I would say in my opinion that knowing what the stock redline is seems a bit worthless. Every car has a powerband, once you learn what exactly it is, redline becomes a bit useless. Just my opinion not trying to step on any toes or pee in anyones cornflakes....

I agree with you 100%, both of my SR's die like pigs when they reach about 7k...they act almost like the KA does with revs...however, you get a nice big turbo on one and some upgrades...the band will expand and you have a better range. The RB25 revved for me all the way up to 7200 as well with full power...but rev limiter on my engine was also 7200 vs the majority which are 6800.
THE RB20 WILL PRODUCE PROPER POWER TO AROUND 8500 WITH A BETTER FLOWING TURBO YOU CAN TAKE IT UP INTO THE 9KS! HELL THERE IS A GUY IN AUSSIELAND PUSHING A 10K REDLINE, ALTHOUGH HE HAS $$$$ INVESTED IN HIS PROJECT ITS POSSIBLE.
