sr20det swap

i'm in norcal....but i want to know a common price for a sr20 swap....i already have everything....i just want to know labor rates....my friend is going to do it for me, it's not like he's my close friend i just know him from the lot....what do u guys think? i know it could cost up too 1500....but how much should i suggest to pay him?

why not ask him how much he's willing to do it for first? i usually do work for free or a dinner, depending on how much work is involved and how hungry i am. a friend dose alot of side jobs for church members and only charges them half of what it would cost at a shop. i do it as a hobby mainly but it's his livelihood so he's in it for the money also.

well i asked him and he said look around and he'll beat any price...but he said he'll check up on it...he doesn't have a job he just works on cars in his garage...i don't want to be cheap but i don't want to over pay..

$500 is prob fair for a friend to do this much work. IMO.

heck yes 500 to do that sounds fair as hell. If I still lived in nc I would do it for FREE, but now im stuck on long island so that doent help you, but yeah 5bills sound good.

if your friend is doing the work...$500. If you're assisting, $300. That's a fair labor charge. If it were me, I'd do it myself. There's how to's in books and I'm pretty sure on this site too.
