The fitment of it, the VG is really big. Wiring will be another hassel. Id rather go for a RB20 or RB25

unstable hybrids has crammed a VG into an S13. Austrailians put in the Infiniti/Nissan VH41 V8 into S13s too. They fit just fine. The only issue is transmission.

Hey guys, I'm new First Posy yay!

I have a VG30DET out of a Nissan Leopard in my S13 Silvia, (I'm in Australia)
I used a VG20E box out of a Cima

Did the whole conversion myself, in my garage, was time consuming with the custom fabrication required.

I can provide pics if required

Here are 2 just to get it started, the car is getting prepped for new bodykit and paint in my garage ATM.

Makes 311.2kw (417.3261hp) at the rear wheels, running 25psi (1.723689bar). Again, I'll list m mods if requested to do so (there are quite afew hahah)

Dusky, ur car = h0tness!! i've also seen a pic over at meggala.com of a VG30DET(T?) sitting in an S13. exactly how involved is that swap, and have u noticed in difference in the ride (i.e., handling, braking, etc)? again, nice, man.

Did you have to fabricate the bellhousing too? How was the crossmember and transmission placement?

Hey Guys

Sil40_Mayhem - The swap was very labour intensive, the engine was in and out about 7 times, so I could work out the position perfectly.

The Handling isn't really affected that much, it helps witht he coil-overs and the wide front tyres, The mainproblem now is the rear end hanging out when i put the foot down too early...

The brakes are R32 GT-R 4-spot calipers, and they really really grip, i had to upgrade the brakes to make the car road-worthy. Come to think of it, I would've upgraded them anyway.

AREITU - I used the stock bell-housing off the VG20 and removed the splines inside it so I can use the VG30DET clutch and flywheel. It also gives me the space to upgrade to a twin or triple plate clutch when I have the $$. The Crossmember was fine, no mods needed, the transmission placement was interesting. I had to fabricate a custom mount for it.

93RPS13 - I used a VG20 Gearbox and bellbousing. If you read m post in the Members Ride section, everything that is custom is what I had to fabricate myself.
