what intercooler?

What intercooler are you guys with swaps using? how much did it cost? Have any pics of it? Most likely getting an s13 blacktop locally... and need ideas for a "budget" intercooler setup.

I don't have one but I know quite a few people who run them and haven't had any problems.

not enough info. what turbo? what boost? any planed upgrades, price range? fabrication ability? all that comes into play, there is not a "right answer" that works for everyone.
If your using a stock motor and turbo stick with the stock sidemount, its almost always faster, and its def easier and cheaper.
bigger turbo, or higher boost then grab yourself cheap intercooler off of ebay, or ssautocrap, you dont need the difference in performance unless your are in serious competition, or you are making a dyno queen. I have a greeddy VSPL and I dont really need i, I would have been fine with a cheap one, I only have it cause I got a crazy good deal on it from one of my parts suppliers. I got it shipped for the same price as a big ebay one.
Size is more important than who its made by, (see size does matter) if its too big it will slow you down with lag, and if you dont need it thats a waste of money to make your car slower.

If its stock turbo, maybe get one thats 24X6-8X2.5-3. somewhere in there should be the biggest you want to go on stock turbo, but cool very well.

Yes, i know that all that factors in, but i didnt ask "which is best" i asked about what ppl are using, and what they have modded. I will run stock boost for a few months, to get a feel for the new motor... but once i gather up some cash, i plan on throwing a s15 t28 on there, pushing the boost to about 15-18 psi, new injectors, safc and all that good stuff... and i was looking at an srt-4 intercooler, heres what it looks like. I thought it would be the perfect size for stock-light boost mods.

IIRC the srt-4 intercooler has the inlets facing the engine bay so you'll have to modify the endtanks to make it work.
