when will bigger exhaust benefit

Currently I'm running a 3'' downpipe, 3'' test pipe and 3'' catback exhaust. However I was just curious as to when and if the exhaust sizing should be made bigger. How much power does one have to be putting down to where a bigger piping exhaust would benefit?? I plan on having 320-350rwhp with in the next up coming months and was just wondering what everyones opinions are? Would I be just fine with a 3'' still or would upgrading to a bigger piping benefit me??? What do you think?

3" should be fine for that HP, it's all noise vs flow a free system will be louder but will make more power

So even with lets say probably 350rwhp, a 3.5 to 4'' exhaust wouldn't benefit?? Sorry I'm just really curious on this subject.

I think that 3" should be good for up to 350-400 hp. Your car probably has almost no back pressure so your turbo should be able to still spool quick unless your going to get a huge turbo.

you want ZERO back pressure after the turbo, so whatever it takes to achieve that is what you want to go with.

Sounds good. I guess the only problem is finding out what size piping will leave it with ZERO back pressure with out spending lots of money ya know?

not to be a riceboy or anything but huge exhaust like the HKS dragger sounds really good, deep tone and good flow thanks to the large pipe. Most of the restriction is going to be at the turbo's exit anyway, most turbo's unless you have a huge v-band style only have 2-2 1/4" exhaust outlets. You can usually have the exhaust housing punched out a bit at the machine shop I'm having this done on my T3/T4 hybrid.
