I would highly recommend dealing with a local vendor for motors. I've seen way too many issues with people who bought from someone outside of their state, and then when they get the motor, they find out its a POS and nothing can be done. If you have someone you can deal with face-to-face, you can at least have them do a compression test on the spot and if anything happens, you can take it back... within reasonable time of course. But then again, there really is no "warranty" but if you can see the person face to face, youre able to negotiate something if in case the motor is bad right off the bat.

I second the call to buy from a local vendor. If there is any problem you can sort it out face to face.

We're being brutally honest, very few, and I mean like maybe one or two online shops (that are now gone due to economy) have been good to their word. If you get the motor, and you have rod knock, they will say "it didnt happen when it was here..." and tell you, youre stuck with it. Seeing the shop in person and seeing/talking to the people will be way better. We've been in this game for about a decade now, and have seen many shops take advantage of buyers who are looking for a deal. Plus you have to look at the cost of shipping to you as well, minimum $500 if its in the same state, and that was a price I was given years ago. Gas no doubt will have inflated shipping prices significantly.

go with the advice that has been given. it's a lot easier to get around an sort of warranty than people think, so you'd be better off trying to resolve any potential issues in person if needed.

WAY to much.
If that's just the engine, you can get it WAY cheaper than that. You can get a full sr20det red top front clip for $2,100.

Hell, for my blacktop S14(!) I paid $2,400 for it.

for that much, might as well get an RB25

That is too much.

I could sell you my red top SR for less than that LOL and I have an ORC drift clutch and flywheel with it too!

But then again, Im a private party person, and once I sell, I am not responsible for anything with that stuff once it is sold.
