Interior Swap?
Interior Swap?
I just bought a red s13 with tan interior. I really don't like the look of the tan interior, but I couldn't pass up the deal on the car. I want to do a black interior. Has anyone done an interior swap? If so how difficult was it, how expensive, and where did you find your replacement interior?
Thanks,
Ian K.

TypeX180 - I know what ur saying! Have you changed your interior, or have you just learned to live with it?
1993Coupe - Do you have any brand names for fabric sprays? I saw another post kind of like this, but it was about dyes. What would be better if I had to resort to it, spray or dye?
If it helps I think im going to remove the rear seats and just leave it empty. I want a really clean look...just the driver and passenger seat.
What ya think? Any advice?
Thanks for your info guys!

ive got the brown interior but i kind of like it mine is a 93 SE with Super Hicas, it has the brown and balck interior with what looks like strwa mat or some crap on the doors, i dont have the stock seats in it anymore and its been a pain in the *** finding fabric that will match so i can re cover my race seats (red seats look funny with brown doors and carpet)
I know a little out dated, but only by a week or so...
I've removed/installed interiors like crazy, mostly in my 240, pulling it out and putting back in, and twice on a friends 240, and salvage yard 240's
its really not hard after you figure it out.
If I remember, start from B-piller, and work your way to the back of the car.
be VERY CAREFUL when removing the plastic snap clips, they break very easily, and theres a couple that you have to push in a pin lock thing, to remove the clip.
Just take your time when removing the brown interior, and pay attention when you take it out, like how the panel was put together, like this panel sets on top of this panel.
