VIN swap?
VIN swap?
i have 2 240's sitting in my garage and one is waiting to be swaped over to the other. i want to completly swap everything, even the dash board, so i was wondering how do i go about to getting the vin numbers exchanged???
any reply is greatly appreciated..

i guess how i worded it was wrong. 240A was stolen and they hit a tree and frame is bent so i went and found 240B(auto) head gasket blown, interior is bad($400
). both are the same model(SE) and year(1993), what i wanted to do is swap out all of the interior, motor and tranny from 240A into 240B. the reason i want to swap VIN is because 240B has a bad dash and i want 240A's dash into 240B but i want 240B's VIN on 240A's dash which is going to go into 240B. is that clear?? i'm kinda confused now..
but you should understand what i mean..
if i pop out the rivets is it reusable? should i go buy new ones?
thanks Biggamehit

lol ik now what you mean i just recently did that well what you do is when u have both dash's out u drill out the 2 rivets that hold the vin plate on and it comes right off. put the vin plate on the good dash with a hand powered rivet gun. and since rivets come aluminum what i did it steal some black nail paint from my friend and paint the rivets black to make it look clean
