Unhappy How much is this 240 worth?

Ok so imagine this 240 was your baby. You had to sell it to your friend so that you could go to school, and while in his posession it was hit by a drunk driver. How much would you give him for it back? Its a 1995 240sx SE with 120k. Apex'i N1 exhaust, centerforce clutch, etc. If it would be feasable to buy the car back and fix it slowly on my own, what do you think i should give him for the car back? if at all? Also this car now has a blown motor too, broke a piston rod, and might be fixable if not too much damage was done. Thanks alot, really need another opinion on this one...

It needs from the door back quarter, bumper, taillight, and about 20hrs frame time respectivly. Frame time alone is gonna cost you around $1000-1500.

You're gonna dump more money into the car than it will ever be worth.

^^Bump, that car has some serious issues. Actually looking over the car a second time I'd say 300 max. Even from the photo you can tell that he frucked up that rear section REALLY BADLY.

If it's a friend and you had sold him the car previously and he did that to it, personally I think he should just give it to you. But it depends on how close you are.

Rear quarter panel accidents are not worth the effort/money 99% of the time. Just keep on saving up.

agreed. Even if he doesn't GIVE it to you, I wouldn't give him more then a few hundred. I'd say get it back as cheap as possible, if not free, then part it out because you could at least make back what you paid for it back from him, and then some and put that towards a new one.

when my 91 got hit i took it to the body shop to see how much it would be to fix. the guy laughed at me it needed so much frame work. i'd imagine if you took it somewhere you would probably get the same reaction. so just part it out make some money and buy a new one.

Tell him to go FU4K himself, and that is the 2cents it is worth.......
He only wants you to buy it because no one else will, and he is the idiot that FU4Ked it up, he wants you to feel sorry for him. Tell him that he should feel sorry for having such a good friend, that would even think of buying it or considering such a horrible deal.
