My friend has the K&N, he likes it alot. I personally think most brands do the job, even SPW.

I could understand if you were going for an air filter. Then I would spend the extra money for a K&N.

I stick with OEM Oil filters for both cars.

K&n are really good... my boy gave me one for temp use... and it works really good... i had a cheap air filter before... and for some reason it would fall off like every 2 weeks or something like that.. the brace or braket i had (which came with the filter) sucks... k&N's are more sturdier and do the job better... in my opinion

I just go with Fram for an oil filter. If you replace them often enough you shouldn't have any worries.

Now air filter on the other hand...

I change my oil filter every 3k. I use to pull Fram's out of my 85 Jeep that had 10k+ miles on them. Everything inside looked like new (well except for the filter of course) and nothing had come apart. Its a nice write up but they don't have any test results from their cars. Plus the only thing stocked at most autoparts stores here is Fram. Pretty much everyone I know has a Fram on their car, I wouldn't worry to much about brand.
