300zx TT fuel filter question

Quick question, gonna change out the fuel filter today, ive noticed others with KA24DE engines have opted for the 300zx tt fuel filter; what are the advantages of this ,and will it effect gas mileage? Thanks

it has a bigger surface area, so itll typically last longer than the normal one.

increase in throttle responce. its free'er flowing then the stock filter but shouldnt make much differance in Mpg.

They make two different oil filters for a 97 protege. I use the larger one, and it lasts longer.

But for the 240, it would be awesome if the larger filter gave better throttle response like you said. Next oil change I might just pick up the 300zx tt one. It fits the threads and all?

^ Fuel Filter guy..

It makes a VERY LITTLE difference. Throttle response is what it mostly affects.

It's just a nice upgrade if it's time to change the Fuel Filter.

Thanks, changed it out a few days ago. pretty strait forward install, even pops in the bracket easy. I def. recommend.

its not going to affect fuel pressure. if you are looking for a good fuel upgrade get a walbro 255.

How do you know if you need to change the fuel filter or not? My car has a lot of miles, and I don't know when it was last done.

I say change it once every year. It is only a 10.00 part and its good to be on the safe side.

Well yeah...but like I said, I don't know when it was last changed. I've only had the car for a week. Guess I'll change it anyway, just to be on the safe side.
