80mph = 5,000rpm?? a/t

My tach dont work right, its on and off. But today it was working and I was going steady 80mph and it read 5000 rpm. I was thinking that it was reving to high, maybe stuck in 3rd gear? What does your car read when going 80mph-on a A/T, M/T.

3K exactly.

Make sure your overdrive is on, the little button on the side of the shifter should be pushed in.

My O/D dont work I get check code 84 with my fuc ked up tranny. Some times my tranny downshifts like 3 times when I am just cruising. Gotdammit I need a 5 speed already. Ohh yeah and get this, my tranny is so f'ed up when I go in reverse in peels out every time. Today I was fishing and I parked on gravel and I needed to reverse, it was so bad I thought I was stuck in mud. The tires keeped on spinning no matter how soft I push on the gas.

My s13 reads 3,200 rmps at 80 mph. I shifted to 4th and it read 5,000 at 80 mph. Is my A/T s14 stuck in 4th?? or is that the highest gear.

s14 auto's only have a 4 speed sucks pretty bad

KerosineK 10-10-2006 08:13 PM

pretty much every modern auto tranny is a 4 speed. Very few are 5 speeds and even fewer are 6...
