'95 vs '96+

hey guys,
im looking at buying a 240sx soon, i dont know too much about the cars just yet, but which do you think is better for ease of tuning ect, the '95 w/ OBD-I or '96+ w/ OBD-II??? i want to get the perfect car this time, with my last car, i didnt have the best luck due to lack of research. o if i could get the pros/cons to the different models, thatd be great.

thanks,
Greg

Definitely 95, OBD-I FTW. With an OBD-II car, you will never pass emissions with a swapped engine.

well if your gonna have a swapped engine your not gonna pass smog any way. (the legal way)

I thought all '95s had OBD-II? I know my car does...

The late model 95's do I think.

my buddy passed smog legit with an SR20

would i be able to pass smog with a KA-t and OBD-II?

itll prob pass sniffer but not visual which is required in some states. but whether or not it passes emission, the engine is still illegal unless you get a bar referee to okay it (atleast so ive read)

A OBD-II car with a turbo KA24DE will pass visual and smog....
