About to sell my WRX RA swap for 240 project

Hey guys-

I remember about 2 years ago when I first signed onto this forum and I didnt even have a 240 much less a car. I then made a decision to buy a base model Impreza and do a swap. Well I did my Version 2 WRX Type RA swap, and now I am selling the car because I really want to go with what I wanted more in the first place, a 240 fastback. I am selling my car for $6300. I am selling it way below what I put into it, so I can sell car quickley and buy a car. So my question to you guys is.. I will try to find a 240 fastback for $2000-$2300 and then buy a frontclip for it. Do you guys think that I should have about $4000 for swap or would $3500 be okay? I am going to buy frontclip which would be aroune $2900 plus clutch+flywheel+Exhaust. The wiring for my swap was insane I mean insane. We had to rip the dash apart and take it out of the car and splice harnesses like mad. Subaru was retarded and integrated the entire car's harness together. Is wiring the car insanely hard? Is there a way I can make it plug and play if I send my harness off somewhere to get spliced together. Yes, as with NASIOC, searching is your best friend, I just wanted to get these couple of newb questions out of the way.

Thanks for input,
Zach

Wiring a 240 fastback is easy as hell. Yes you can send it somewhere and get an sr splice done for about $200. It's "plug and play". The clip install will vary depending on quality of parts (oem, aftermarket, material, etc) and who you get to do it. $4k should be enough to get you going.

PS: You are right, search, I've just been in a good mood lately.

Not way too much...gotta remember the drifter craze. Everybody wants one so the prices are skyrocketing. It's good to know that we actually have people who want them for a real purpose and are willing to take care of them.

no, the wiring is really really easy... check out www.heavythrottle.com

you seem to be one of the only 'new members' that knows what they want to do with their car. use the search button, here and on www.zilvia.net, you will find tons and tons of info
