seems really cheap...too good to be true. but if anyone has bought the cheapy ebay coilovers, how are they? bouncy, stiff, do they work, and whats wrong with them?

-HyJynX- 04-23-2003 06:39 PM

wow thats really cheap, a lil to cheap. Maybe they r bad quality, dont provide a good ride. dunno...

leiferik1 04-23-2003 06:41 PM

oh my god......what in the hell? that sounds like a GREAT deal. try and contact the seller.....i'd say go for it if everything looks good

I would find out what the spring rates on those suckers are.

Who made the springs?

What shocks are you going to use with them?

I can understand using these if you have a car that is strictly show and want to slam it when you get to an event without having to go with an air system.

I wouldn't think you would get much of a ride improvement with them unless the spring rates are good and the springs are of good build quality.

Spyhunter you don't list your location so I don't know if it snows out by you but salt is hell on coilovers. I would check into what they are using to coat these things.

They look chromed but I don't know how they will do with the wear and tear of multiple height changes. Then again a lot of people set their height and leave it if they like it.

Cheap isn't always good. What are you looking for? The slammed look? Or the handling?

Good luck.

yeah, you should ask some more questions...like what brand they are.

spyhunter 05-05-2003 08:00 PM

talked to the seller. here's the response "no brand, made in same factory with other coilovers company, spring rate is 450f and 350r"

now....if the numbers are correct, they are the stiffest springs EVER!

check out http://www.nissaninfiniticlub.net/vb...threadid=11638
they have a listing of all the springs and rates.

if you do the math, the ebay coils are 8.1 kg/mm front and 6.3 kg/mm rear which is almost double the highest rate listed on the faq....yikes

spyhunter 05-06-2003 04:07 PM

it means its gonna be a really rough bouncy ride

-HyJynX- 05-06-2003 11:21 PM

and HyJynX there is no way youy are going to tel me my coils suck.. they cost more than some poeples cars on here... they are just very not so streetrable.. comfortably that is

-HyJynX- 05-07-2003 07:09 PM
