Anyone from Japan?
 

I need some help from anyone in Japan.
yesterday i found out that a friend of mine at work and I have connections in Japan through the company and he is willing to get parts for us and ship them.
Anyone know how much shipping from Japan is, lets say for like an engine.
and i know a front clip here in the US is about $3500 (US) but how much does it cost in Japan?
how much cheaper is it to have things shipped from Japan?

It costs alot unless you set up some deal with a freighting company and thats just not what alot of us want to do.

2K or 3K ¥ per Kilo = ALOT per engine;)

I know a guy who just shipped a car from Japan to Florida for around $600.00. If you do all the leg work (ie have your customs stuff all ready and take it to the port) you can get it done quite reasonably. His car was old (1972) so it was a matter of paying for cubic meters. Shipping isn't as bad as many think it you are willing to do a lot of research and leg work. He drove his Fairlady right to Kobe and they put it right on a boat.
