Well, a little update. I did a little digging, and was able to get in touch with the admin. Here is his reply to my inquiry:
So, unfortunately, the price is way out of my range so if a new forum is made, the name will not stay the same. On the other hand, if someone is buying the site, maybe they will update the site and get things working.
So, to continue with the new forum or hold and and see what time brings? Please give me your thoughts on the subject guys.

I had someone contact me regarding purchasing the site and all of its contents and vendor accounts. It is not officially done so if you are interested in purchasing the site give me an offer and we can go from there. The current offer I am working with the other person is at $25K.

Only thing I don't want to see happen is the site being bought out by a certain other site. If that is the case, and this other site is the one in talks for buying club240, I will gladly leave and stay at Zilvia...
i say we should wait and see what sort of plans the new owner(s) have in mind for the site. after all i don't think anyone in their right mind would spend that kind of money just to let and already dyeing site cease to exist.

right now in my opinion, its 50/50 as to what would be better, wait for the new ownership or make a new forum.
pro for making a new forum would be that we could make sure its dope, and i have confidence we can make it great.
cons would be that ive seen enough forums die shortly after starting up...
waiting for the new ownership may be a good idea (as excited as i am for making a new forum)....
as of this point i dont think we have enough concrete information to make a decision, although it is up to bryan.

ok so if the new owner was to do away with this forum i officaly nominate the new forum to be called www.the240club.com
