A/C leaks

****, one problem after another. I might as well get a SR motor and hopefully it'll solve all my problems. LOL

Anyway, anyone know how to replace or repair this piece?

So i was refilling my AC with R134a and it started leaking out of this. It looks like the compressor to me. Wonder if its just a bad connection that i can patch up or something. Not really sure if it's leaking from the top bolt or the bottom bolt.

Any ideas?

you dont want to patch anything in the AC system... very very very hi pressure system brother.

take it to an A/C shop and let them check it for you.. they may have to vaccumm your system also.

more likely than not it's just bad o rings.

so funny how that little peice of rubber or copper keeps things from leaking.

I suppose if there's nothing in the system i can probably take off the two bolts safely right? And I assume beneath the bolts are the o-rings you guys are talking about right? If so, i'll check it out tomorrow.

How the heck do i even find this "O-Ring" at the local parts store? Is there a specific name for it or is it specially called "O-Ring" compressor?

they usually are sold as a set, just ask at the front counter for a/c o-rings/seals. you can also look them up on line to get a part number.

Ok, so i fixed the leak but still no a/c coming through. I used the Ez-Chill system to charge it and it came with the gauge. After i charged it, i check it with the gauge and its still in the Green Zone which means nothing is in the system.

I could take it in to have it checked out.

Any thoughts?
