Intake Vaccume Line

Intake Vaccume Line

I'm still trying to figure out all my vaccume lines and i still cant figure out where this vaccume line on the side of my Intake goes to.. here is a picture of what im talking about

It appears that it's the line that leads over to the lower diaphragm valve port on top of the evap canister on the driver's side, next to the radiator.

Ok... Now does anyone happen to know why my transmission goes forward in all the gears.. I have an automatic.. I dont even need a key in the ignition to move the shifter.. Is my transmission messed up or do i have something hooked up wrong ?

well if normal transmissions go 4 forward 1 reverse... yeah, I'd bet there's something wrong.

BTW if you can move the shifter with the key out, then you also have a broken safety lock, but that's the least of your problems.

would the TCU (transmission control Unit) cause the transmission to act like this ? If no where is it located ?

Is there such a thing on 240's?

Even if there was, a "TCU" on other cars is usually electronic. No electronic equipment on a 240SX would make reverse gear go forward, since the gear is part of a mechanical assembly.

Looks like you need an overhaul or a replacement.
