help on car rust repair????

i read up on how to repair car rust. but the only problem i have is that i have two holes under the spoiler of my hatch. does anyone know how to fix this problem with the holes and also does anyone know how to remove the spoiler because i want it off for good. the things i read on car rust repair only tells u how to repair just surface rust and nothing about holes. so any help or ideas would be good.

Yes Take the wing off grind all the paint off around the holes (including the rust) then take same grade of sheet metal that the trunk is made from weld it in to fill the holes and then grind it down to to a smooth surface and then get some filler smooth it out until it is even with the rest of the trunk and paint.

That is the only way to really get rid of the rust with out it coming back jsut go wing less

ok but how do i take off the wing? do i just pull it off or is there a certain way of takin it off? i just want to make sure i dont leave any damage marks on the hatch.

you take off the carpet from inside, the little snap in tabs, they all broke on my car when i tryed to take them out. Honestly, i wouldnt even waste your time trying to fix that, find a new hatch...

do i weld the sheet metal on the inside of the hatch or the outside?

It's not worth saving. After the cost and work put into it. Assuming you don't know how to weld or do body work [or you wouldn't be asking these questions] You have a good chance of wasting time and money f'ing it up more... You can get 'trunk lids' for not that much money... Carbon Fiber even... I'd reccomend that to you, rather than buying an entire new hatch.

I aint know.. hah... sorry that's just funny to me. :P

Yes.. get a new hatch... can't be more than $100 at a junk yard with glass...

JRB, that's my car in your signature! Except I got a pignose!
