naw man you have it all wrong. You want what they call a hot air intake. Hot air mixing with the unburnt fuel will create quicker combustion times because the air is already hot. which is a step closer to being burnt, than what cold air would be. I havent bought one yet but i plan too. I rigged something up for now tho. I got some pipe and extended my airbox down underneath my header where the temps are the hottest. Instant results. good luck man!

I agree.

not alot of ppl have done this yet, but i have a friend who did and he seen big results. and alot faster throttle response. I definitely recommend doing this. But it does take a little custom fabing.

good luck.

yeah hot enough that the air will ignite the fuel before the spark plug.

............jesus christ this thread is full of fail. FIRST OF ALL, the best way to get the best hot air intake wuld be to weld in a cutoff into your exhaust. When you want to go boost, just open the cutoff and BLAMMO!! An instant 10lbs. of boost without all that turbo garbage.
