death of the 240sx
this may be old info to many of you but what can i say, i live under a rock. i just wanted to know why Nissan discontinued the 240? everyone i know that has one loves it and i know i for one am stickin to the 240 line for a long time. why would they stop making these great cars? they did the same with the 300zx, i mean i know they introduced the 350z but is it safe to assume not all sports car enthusiasts can afford to blow ~30 G's on a car?

Poor sales and the upcomming 350Z.

350Z? hardly.
240SX ended in 1998, 350Z wasnt untill what? 2002? it was a combination of many thing, mostly the fact that NOBODY WAS BUYING THEM. they were overpriced for what they were, and at the time a mild sports car wasnt going to sell. try look on freshally, i seem to remember this coming up there often, and the people there know more about it. and with this, i give you my last post on these forums. a nice even number. |
Yes the 350Z. That was the official word from Nissan.... Car companies can plan ahead can't they?

well maybe if they wouldnt have put a truck engine in our 240s people would've bought more of them instead of all that honda s**t on the road
