battery, fuses, alternator, starter

SnickersGirl 10-25-2004 08:38 AM

probably the battery..

agree w/ snickers

check battery and cables coming from battery.

i know my friend thought his starter was bad, bought a new starter, i told him to test the battery. we tested the voltage and it was dead (i think a DEAD battery shows 10v or 10.5volts or less)

so yeah, check battery voltage too, if it's less than 10volt, your battery is DEAD, so charge. when you get your car started, check your battery voltage while it's running. this will give you your alternator voltage i think (or just test at alternator)

well my friend parked one of his cars in the garage during the hurricanes..and hasn't started it for almost 3 weeks..none of the inside lights would turn on, parking light, and it wouldn't start....but it was just the battery..

alternator fuse, worked for me!

most likly, its just fractured, if you rev it really hard does it come on? let me know
if so then go get the alternator fuse, its the best 15 i ever spent!
