Door Draining Batteries

Not exactly sure which forum this goes under, so i'll just put it here. So my driver door on my s13 requires a little extra force to completely close. But recently, even if the door is completely closed, the open door light on the dash still lights up. Hence the light under the driver and passenger also lights up, draining the battery. I also notice while driving on the freeway, the open door light occasionally turns on then off, randomly. So I am wondering if they is a sensor i need to replace or disable, or the door latch/lock, or is there a fuse i can just unplug to prevent the light under the driver and passenger floor from lighting up? Thank you in advance.

I have an S14 so I'm not sure about S13's but can't you just turn the interior light off? maybe S13's and S14's are different. Even if not just pull the bulb out till you figure out whats wrong with the door. You shouldn't be pulling current off the battery after that.
