drag racing
guys:
i read about ka and sr the other day but i got tired of finding that site, so i guess i'm gonna throw this question to you. which best for drag racing a ka24 or an sr20? the one's that i read yesterday stated that ka's are best for drag racing since it's a mid-range rpm engine. can i have your opinion on this one guys coz it really confused me big time.. |
boost a KA if you want to drag more torque (unless you're going to stroke the SR)

1. Everyone has a right to their own opinion. 2. Its not your car, remember? Dont press your opinions on someone else (ie.: 240SX were made for drifting  ). If he wants to drag his 240 by God let the man do what he wants to with his own car (exceptions: Neons, very dramatic ***look at me, I want to be cool*** body kits....these sort of things hurt my eyes, therefore they affect me negatively :p ) 3. Driving in a straight line is fun...if you have a fast car :p mho 4. Calm the fuck down :) |
Everyone be a drifta....
ITS not fun driving in a STRAIGHT LINE- Edit: No offense to those who really do drift, just don't like it when people oppress their views on others...also sick of the "dRiFtInG" bandwagon. |
WHO THE HELL SAID I WASENT DRIFTING U IDIOT!!...........i do drift so before you say something THINK. WHAT DO YOU W/ YOUR CAR?!?........AND YOU PROBABLY LIVE IN THE COUNTRY (oMAHA LOL HICK).

what is with this kid ^
he must have just gotten his license and a car, if that.. No one said you weren't drifting, see how there are quotation marks "OMG you have a 240 and you're NOT dRiFtInG it?!?!". Yeah, don't sit here and make yourself look like an ass. You should take a look at this thread, http://www.club240.com/forums/showth...threadid=21199 that's what he's doing to his car. And he's not drifting it, OMG!? freak out. |
not again...~sil80~FreAK, drifting in Need For Speed Underground does not count, so what if someone is from the country, gives you no right to come on here and bash them, same thing goes for someone who doesnt drift. Like I said before in a thread you started to ruin, I dont drift, not everyone with a 240 wants to drift. Everytime you say something it just makes you sound like an ignorant, just got his license and watched too many drifting videos, played NFS:U all night for weeks, thinks he lives a real life Initial D boy...

ive had so many people rag on me for wanting to drop a rb26 in my car..."oh, its going to throw your weight balance off, Ill smoke you in the corners"...
then I said one time Im wanting about 400whp "Thats way too much power to drift, you want a perfect balance of weight and power...with that much you wont be able to control the car" HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF THROTTLE MODULATION! I never said I wanted to DrIfTo!!1!! I really dont see a point in it...hell Inital D hit in the arcades and then came out on video and then the price of a '86 Corrolla shot up $2000. And everyone circle-jerked to the thought of drifting. Personally I love the ****, its really fun to watch and understand what they are doing is a great feat...yet its not the way to race, it does not pull the best times. Inital D made it out to be the fastest way to race and its not. I like traction, I like grip...jm2c. |
in a way ur right but still you can still have a drift race

sure you can...its called a cripple fight: Great to watch...but will get pwn3d.

Lol, thanks lrb_2000...but I think I'll put it into simpler terms...I'll give him pictures to look at if he decides not to check that link out.

Timeslip BTW, that 13.0 wasn't made in the cornfields or on a farm....it's at our track here. :D And this is my built SR20DET's modlist... Built motor modlist Did I pass your quiz? How about I administer one now...let's see some pictures of your car, lets see your modlist? I'd Looooove to see your dRiFt MaChInE! so before you say something THINK. i am guessing on one thing here... we all agree that the 240 was built to be driven... however you decide to do that driving is up to you... and in most cases you build the car for your butt not the guy lookin at the car... build it like you drive... if you drift then build that... if you drag then build it for drag... imo... the highest hp and torque will winn the drag race with all other things being equal... the most i have seen out of a kat with nos was 570 hp to the wheels... that is a lot of power... i have not looked at many sr20 dyno runs mainly because i have not searched for them... but a fully built one could well reach the same power figures... it all comes down to money... how much you got how fast ya wanna go...

I know of a 12 second KAT on stock internals :D BTW, ~sil80~FreAK STFU. Seriously. The 240 was note made for dirfting. Hell, drifting wasn't even that popular in the late 80s. Nissan isnt going to make a car just for an underground sport. The 240 is a well balanced car that can take turns very well when built up right. It is also this balance that allows it to drift. However, it's lightweight also gives it the ability to tear it up at the strip. The 240 is a good car to do whatever the **** you want with it. No car was made for a specific reason, save for muscle cars which were sold on their 1/4 miles times. But seriously, saying the 240 was made to be a drift car is very ignorant.
Also, I have a 240 and am still considering whether I should drift it or not. I most of all wanna track it. Its a well balanced car and perfect for racing it on the track. Now shove the "drifting only" up your ass and shut up. |
