DSS on backorder

It's been almost 2 years since I've been on these forums.. my first post back will be a useful one to some of you guys.. Drive Shaft Shop is BACKORDERED on the yokes needed for our cars. The manufacturer is Dana Spicer.. Spicer will not be shipping these until some time in August.. I've been waiting for a drive shaft from DSS for the last 3 weeks.. Just came to find this info out. Thought this could be of use to someone.

Yes it is.. $331 and some odd cents shipped. greasable or solid joints, your choice. Cheaper than DSS, same quality. The guys name on ebay is ujoint master. elks1945@aol.com is the email.

Try emailing him directly, or click here

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissa...em250143764752

From there you can enter his store and choose s13/s14. If you decide to buy, let him know if you want drive shaft for MT/AT, S13/S14, 5SPD/AUTO. He is great with replying to email. He usually ships through UPS.. But since those *** holes take forever, I asked for USPS shipping from him.. Extra $12, but sooo much faster.

+1 for Ujointmaster.

Yea, he's legit. Good Guy. Its not a steal, its just not over priced I'll be doing business with him again.. He had my shaft made in two days, and personally took it to USPS to ship it. Great guy.

I warranty all my shafts for a perfect balance and the welds to hold forever. I don't think you will ever have an issue except maybe replacing joints every 60-80,000 miles or so.

E-mail he just sent me ^

Let us know how the shaft performs. I might just hold off on it until I do my LS swap.

My one concern with having the drive shaft is traction.. I have 255/40/17 RT615s in the rear... My car is hard enough to drive in the rain, and getting it to slide in dry isn't too hard either... This is going to spin the wheels a bit more.. I'll keep you guys up to date. As far as noise/vibration go.. there isn't much. 240s are independent rear suspension.. The shaft barely moves, especially if you have a stiffer tranny mount. Diff is bolted to the subframe which is bolted to the chassis... so minor chassis flex and tranny moving around are the only place where the ujoints come into play... so no, there won't be any additional noise/vibration.

Hey Bart, what Ujoints should I have him put in? Solid or greasable? Which one is more beneficial?

Both are cheap in case you need to replace them. I would recommend the greaseable ones since they will last longer. Got my shaft in the other day. Looks and performs great! Like I said before.. Welds and balance are guaranteed for life. Can't go wrong with the shaft!
