eibach springs 2.2 or 1.8?
hey im about to get some springs this week but i dont know wether to get the ones that that drop u 2.2 inches or 1.8 inches, i plan on getting the kyb agx struts next week, so basically i wanna know will the 2.2 in. drop will be to much, amd can i still fit 16 in. rims without any issues
|
i dont think they offer 2.2" drop springs. as far as i know they offer sportline 1.5f/1.2r or prokit 1.2f/.9r
here is mine with prokit and agx: http://photos-832.ak.facebook.com/ph...16832_2240.jpg http://photos-819.ak.facebook.com/ph...16819_4257.jpg |
yeah they gottem i was at super autobacs yesterday and they had the ones that drop 2.2 in the front and 2.0 in the back, and the other ones 1.8 in tha front and the back but do u think 2.2 is to low
|
they might drop that much on other cars or on average but do not on s-chassis. directly from the eibach site:

and yes anything that drops the car more than 1.5" is going to decrease the life of the shocks and will not be under warranty by kyb. if you want to lower your car just get some airbags, or cut the stock springs and drive around with blown shocks.

hell no i have a 240 not a civic, im tryna improve my handling not show off, but if the 2.2 will mess up my shocks then i'll jus go for the 1.8
|
|
oh my bad i have an s 13
|
oh okay. i would just get the prokit then. 1.8" is a big drop on a strut spring combo man

you need to save for a little longer and buy some coilovers.. oh and 2.2 with 16's..it has nothing to do with your wheel size, it depends on your rubber..a lot people are runnin like 17 or 18 with way more than a 2in drop..itll be cake |
Thread closed KYB doesn't recommend more than a 1.8" drop...
BTW on a 1.8" drop just fits 18" rims X 8" width at a 25 offset it is the MAXIMUM allowed for an s13 (stock with no rolled fenders guys), hope that simplifies it for all the searching you could of done. Yeah Yeah and for those that change your axles I don't have time to hear your horror stories..... |
