Engine Code *32

My 90 240sx shows an engine check code 32 . ECU code chart lists code 32 as EGR malfunction. What are the common problems with EGR in this vehicle?

They get clooged I believe. Just take the thing out. Most 240 owners have taken theirs out. It doesn't perform any special function.

There is a write-up for it. Search and ye shall find.

I tried to search under EGR but the search function requires words with 4 or more letters. Any suggestions on a search?

It's also called the AIV. I followed this write up from NICO and it took me about 10 minutes to complete. It's really easy. I hope this helps man.

Actually, the AIV and the EGR are two completely different systems. The EGR take exhaust gas from the exhaust manifold and puts it back into the intake manifold. The AIV is the little black box on the inner driver's fender and injects air from the air intake INTO the exhaust manifold (IIRC).

Point being, they're not the same thing.
