Fuel Pump Gasket.. does it exist?
I have a leak around the seal between the fuel pump surround and the fuel tank. When I pulled the fuel pump, I noticed there is no gasket. Should there be?
I have some high temp red silicon that I want to use to create a gasket, but the instructions say 'not for use on products continually submerged in gasoline.' I'm thinking we should be fine because it SHOULDN'T be continually submerged, should it?

I do see where that is supposed to go. I bought a roll of gasket material and fabbed a new gasket. Hopefully it will hold. I know the ridge where the O-ring goes will hold fuel, but it should be fine.
get the rubber o ring from the dealer or go to napa or any other parts store to get it... the rubber o ring compresses when the pump assembly is re attached to the gas tank... a flat gasket will not compress the same way ou in the right places like the o ring does...you are going to leak fuel if you use a flat one... get the right one...
