which fuse??

which fuse do i take out to keep my lights from retracting back up. i want to be able to turn on the lights but not have my lights come up, otehr words sleepy eye. isnt it the 30a one???

All you need to do is open the hood and you'll see the motor next to each headlamp (the one that turns up and down with red button on top) and then pull the plug that connects to it. and then you have no current going to the motor and I think the light still lights up. So there you go.

So that means that the lights are always in the sleepy eye position?

Jonas Sep 28, 2002 08:12 PM

yep, in sleepy eye and having the lights on in sleepy eye. its not my daily driver to its alright.

malicex000 Sep 30, 2002 07:36 PM

um ironically i did that.. looks fantastic in the day .. in the night it sucks.. your not gonna get alot of light dude.. you have to be carefull, unless u got fogs or hids i doubt u should roll around in the dark with your lights half up... be carefull , but give it a try

i saw this post so i decided i would try it and i dont know if i did somethign wrong but i disconnected the plug and then the lights wouldnt go up or down at all the ligths would go on but they were stuck all the way down. i guess i did it wrong.

SilvaPwr Oct 1, 2002 01:11 PM

yeah i wouldnt try something like that unless you have some bright ass fogs, cause something that hinders your vision at night can be a big no no...

well no you did it right, according to what i wanted to do, i wanted it in sleepy eye permanent and have the lights still come on while its in sleepy eye, turningon the lights without the lights coming up or down when turning them off. but yes i tried it at night and its somewhat not safe if you dont have other proper lighting.

1200dollrdriftr Oct 1, 2002 02:22 PM

oh ok, i thought that sleepy eyed was when the lights were like half-way up not closed i would call that closed eyed:o

SilvaPwr Oct 1, 2002 02:38 PM

if you get a good set of fogs or driving lights, then you can make that light up from the headlamp loss.
