grinding suspension (pics)
sooo i get this really loud ass grind in my suspension when i make a fairly sharp left turn and today my dad and i jacked up the car and took a look, now neither one of us is an expert car mechanic but we think we found the problem, he also said looks like we could replace it fairly easily but we need some booklet (sorry the name has slipped my mind)
wat do u guys think? http://img200.echo.cx/img200/5463/p00009947qo.jpg http://img138.echo.cx/img138/1525/p000099517zi.jpg http://img138.echo.cx/img138/773/p000099616eu.jpg |
what's the problem? what needs to be replaced? I dont think that caliper bolt is rubbing anything.
dad says he thinks that that's a bearing thats broken and it should be straightly aligned...but as i said were no experts, so i came here :)
here is a link for the fsm or the booklet thing you were talking about... it is a little way down under s14

Looks like a oozing oem TC rod bushing needs to be replaced. I replaced mine a while ago. It's really easy to replace if you got a press.
yeh ur going to need mechanic tools to get that out or else it's going to suck
well i had it towed to my moms mechanic friend, hopefully its not gonna cost too much and i hope i can get myc ar back soon :(
shouldn't be over 100 bucks. That is easy to replace with the right tools.
no more than 1 hour. |
Tc rods. It is a 10yr old car. let us know how easy the fix was

I paid $55 for mine. If you have access to a press, you can buy a set of replacement bushings for the cost of one new tension rod... The rod itself is pretty easy to remove - it's held in place by three bolts. |
Does the energy suspension contain replacment tension rod bushings in there kit?
yes it does
