From the factory, S14 has the stiffer chassis, while the S13 has stiffer suspension and it's slightly lighter. So FROM THE FACTORY I'd say S13 handles slightly better.

ok then, what if they both had the same suspension. im guessing that the s14 should have the edge, but heard that the s13 had the stiffer body. which one would you say has the better potential?

i didnt see your post, and yea i know what you mean, so which one should have the better skidpad numbers, or for those of you who have driven both cars, which one would you say handled better?

Put it this way. They BOTH handle good. TONS of suspension parts availible and TONS of potential for both. Lets end it at that before a rival starts, lol.

i dont think there would be too much of a difference...

because no one is gonna drive around with the stock suspension..
you are just gonna go and lower it

get the s13 or s14 according to which one is more appealing to you

my friend liked the s14s better and i liked the s13s better...well i liked the tail lights of the s13 alot better but anyways....i got in the s14 and drove...that thing has got stiffer suspension then both the s13 and s14 from factory.

make sense? get the one that you like better. that you think it prettier because the both handle well and they both are great cars.

that's pretty much the point.

OoNismoO <- it pretty much seems that ur asking the question from a stock vs stock standpoint. however, the question, in nature, seems pointless if the intended purpose is to select which car to get. if ur that focused on handling to start with, then the stock suspension won't matter two *****. so, as fist has already said, pick the one that u just plain LIKE better and u can set up ur suspension any way u like.

side note: if u want a stiff chassis, STAY AWAY FROM THE CONVERTIBLE. there, the choice is now easier.

I would take that convertable anyday..... . Put the silvia front end on it, and brace it up a bit to make that chassis stiff and your good to go.

Exactly right, one isn't awesome compared to the next, and if you're looking for better suspension you'll be upgrading everything anyways. Both are good places to start.

Oh, i you look into a S13 however, see if you can get one that had the handling package or whatever. Mine because it is as SE with Hicas, it has an upgraded suspension from the stock s13's. Doesn't mean it still went bye bye!

I think that it depends on which car feels better to you. I have never drove a S14 but i felt every comfortable in my S13 and very confindent. While if your car has a sunroof or is a convertable it is going to have less chassis stiffness compared to one that has nethier.

Not only does it come down to which u like more..but ur budget. As evryone knows S13s are cheaper then S14s..so the couple grand u save from buying a S13 can get u sum suspension goodies and u will be happier with that, its all up to u bro

ok i see what you re all saying, so you re saying that with the same suspension, they both should have the same skidpad numbers? or lets say they re so close it doesnt matter? if so which is the one that should have the slight advantage? im just really curious to which should do slightly better, or if they re exactly the same, i already know which one id go with.
