Help! engine shaking

Hi! I am driving a manual 1990 240sx hatchback and sometimes my engine shake alot when I release the cluch no matter how slow I release and how much gas I press. I can't figure out the problem because it only happen once a while....

Sounds to me like your motor mounts are out. Get new ones ASAP

Are you sure it's engine, or is it the car vibrating?

You can check the motor mounts visually by inspecting them... or start your car in neutral, pop the hood, and have someone rev it up quick. If your engine moves side-to-side a lot (like 1 inch or more) then you definitely need new engine mounts. I'm just mentioning the "are you sure" part because it might possibly be drivetrain - related as well :thumb:
