I want you all to give me some insight. I'd like to know good and bad things about having hicas. Anybody that has it and loves it please reply and anybody who has removed it and hated it please comment. I'd like to know your personal opinions please. Thanks!

I love how everyone automatically thinks because someone owns a 240sx that they want to be a drifter...

 

If he takes Hicas off, he wont be SuperHicasDevin anymore. It would all be a lie

 

sorry i was assuming...i just know its brokeback...and always breaks...seems like a pointless system to me

 

um i HAD a 240 with hicas, and it was pretty neat on the highway, but i got rid of the car cuz
1) the motor smoked
2) it was an automatic
3) it needed paint...bad
4) Hicas seemed too advanced for this car's time and i thought it would be expensive to fix.

 

Alright, well considering putting your car into a mad drift at a corner isnt the only way to race I've seen FF and AWD cars pull through some of the corners just as fast. That being the case, would it be possible to drive it hard, hit those corners, etc, etc... If I get the right technique down???

 

why did they even put HICAS on the 240, did they even advertise it that much when the cars came out? How much do they even turn the rear wheels?

 

about 1 degree of rotation. its not much but it can help in road races (tighter turnig radius) but it can result in oversteer.

 

so how does it work.hicas turns the opposite direction of the front at really low speeds and at high speeds it turns the same direction as the front?

do the se's have hicas. Ive got the button for it on my dash near my steering wheel but it doesnt do anything. Theres a red light on it too and it always stays on.

 

According to Jspec, none of the U.S. 240sx's had HICAS. But then again, feel free to correct me.

 

some hatches had HICAS, it usually says super HICAS on the outside trim. If you have a button on your dash for it, chances are you have it unless someone eliminated it.
