I finally got one :D
I finally got one :D
Most of you have peobably been annoyed by me talking about 240s, though I have never driven one, or touched one. Well, I just bought one today
. I went down to Milwaukie Oregon today to look at a red '91 240sx xe fastback. I wasn't expecting to see much, the picture looked horrible, and they wanted very little for it. I saw it....... holy crap. Gorgeous is the only word to describe it. I bought it from a 59 year old woman who has never hotrodded it. She is the first owner, I got all the service record for it since it was new (two binders full of paperwork, even oil change receipts) clean all over, the only problem visibly with it is that there is a little tear on the driver seat from wear. No dents, 3 year old paint, 155k, super clean, smells like old lady perfume. I'll show pics soon, when I can borrow my mom's friend's digicam (ours is broken now ) I'm just excited, it's so quick, and nice. I'll show it at the next washington meet I can make it to.

I payed $2800 cash for it (asking price was $2995), which was all I had left from selling my Civic (I had bills to pay
) I thought it was a great buy, I just about crapped my pants when I came around the corner and saw the car parked there... it was glorious. lol.

THe thing I noticed right away was how the 240 handled as opposed to my civic. Then I felt the power it had in acceleration. When I got the car back home, I took it out on the biggest straight stretch we have. I effortlessly got it up to a little less then 100 mph before the corner came up. It still had enough juice to accelerate too. I instantly fell in love. I knew it was the car I wanted when I first saw one at the SIR. I am excited to start the mods I have planned. (in this order)
- LSD
- Plug wires, CAI, and other engine mods (performance first)
- Drop on Eibach Sportlines, and Koni struts
- 18" wheels
- Tint windows
other odds and ends to add as I see fit. I think performance should come first, and am trying to be careful not to rice it, which may be a challenge due to my past (former Civic owner :P )

about the 18s.... i would go with some wide 16s or 17s because no offense most people who come from civics want to drift and yea.... 18's just look out of place on an s13 imo. i know how excited you are too... i was so excited when i picked up my car... i was expecting it to be automatic with kick ons and no power options. and im glad your gunna go non-rice.
Yeah, I do love it. It's amazing how much better it handles then all the hondas I used to own. Also, it pulls so hard. NICE excelleration, and the drivers seat feels so perfect, like it all flows perfectly, everything is where it should be, and just feels natural. And about the 18's, the wheel wells are so big on the s13, 16's don't look bad with 55 seies tires, but 17's look too small to be big, and big to be small, they seem confused in that big wheel well. Plus, with 18's, its easier to find wheels that I can stagger. I am puttin 18x8 enkei rpom on the rear, and 18x7 on the front. And I changed my mind about the konies. I want to get tokikos now, cause I can get them at my work at a discount price, and I am told they are better then konis for nissans. Now I just have to track down an adjustable set of RUCAs. I don't want to buy cheepo ones off ebay either, Any ideas where I can find a decent set?
ps: I might be getting a new digicam tomorrow, so that means pics. But I am also getting my wisdom teeth out, so hopefully I'm not too doped up to take pics if we do get a new camera.
