Its Coming

I went to the auto show last night, and asked one of the guys at the Nissan booth about the skyline coming to the US. He said that it looks like a very good chance that Nissan will start importing a stripped down version, definately no GT-R, but a skyline never the less. besides, if you get a stripped down version, there are always upgrades and motor swaps.

I thought the Infiniti G35 is the stripped down version of the skyline.

I have seen pics of the G35 body with the skyline labeling from Japan.

Any major model differences between the two?

i take it you missed the thread that showed the new g35 in japan already... and from what i understand they seperated the GT-R into a completely different car... now its GT-R and SKYLINE instead of one...they're both v-6s now either way and they both look horrible

I want a GT-R , not a Skyline. They have been separated. So you no longer want a SKyline when it comes over to the US you want them to bring the GT-R over here. But Alas I beleive they are not giving us what we want. I am considering moving to Australia just to get to buy and drive the cars I want.

Just mah 2 cents.

How many times does Nissan have to say North America will get the GTR before people stop asking about it?

Did you not just comprehend what was said , we are not getting the GT-R , we are getting the Skyline. Since they have been a separated line in Japan now. That means no GT-R here just yet. I have heard no news of us getting the GT-R. Only getting the Nissan Skyline ( G35 ).

Now unless you can point me to a news link that says we are getting the GT-R. THen this is what is so.

They've said it at the NY international auto show when they showed off the concept GTR. It's been in just about every magazine.... Car and Driver, Motortrend, Road & Track, Sport Compact Car, Super Street......So I have no idea how you guys don't know about this already.

I think this is just gonna have to be one of those things where I will believe when I see it. Even still it will have a v-6 not i-6 and I think most would agree that the I-6 is a lot better engine with a lot more capability then the v-6.

Last I heard the 2005 Skyline GTR , Was going to be the R35 and it was to have a Twin Turbo V8 Conservative estimate of 450 hp. That was a concept , nothing official.

Show me the articles stupid ?
