Talking just got this idea

hey guys, i just got this idea to take care of the smog issue....i dont know if it'll work...but, it's worth a try .......and anyway it's jsut a thought. ....so anyway......yes...the ideas are that you should get a tomei-p tuned sr20det because i think it would pass because it's so clean and plus it comes with 367hp. ....OR
get an sr20de from tomei-p (which comes with 265hp@7500rpm) or a normal one and put on a bolt on turbo kit and when you need to check for smog, jsut take it off....these are just some thoughts...comment please...hahah

still wouldn't pass. they check under the hood and its an illegal engine. better off just slipping a $100 into the inspectors pocket.

Someone is in the Navy huh? About bribing the inspectors. Well, is jail time worth it? SR is illegal.

Also. Only one(.) is needed.

BTW you aren't on the velocity forums are you?

yeah.. exactly, Navy. but i wasn't serious about bribing anyone cause i'm really not that kinda person. but if you didn't tell me for more clarification, i'd probably might've gone and done that.

DRiften. Just because "no one" gives a rats *** doesnt mean it still isnt illegal. In MOST( not all) inspection stations the inspectors are either city or state police officers & I dont know a single one who would loose their job just so you could pass emissions.

Just so you know bribing a county( yes the inspction station workers are county) is a class A misdemeanor & in most places you get about a year in jail & a heafty fine( not to mention NEVER being able to drive again, ect..). Plus depending on what you get convicted on( may change to a Class B, C, ect..) the accompliace could be sentenced to a Class D.

If you dont think bribery, fraud, & illegal use of a motor vehicle isnt a crime. Then what in YOUR mind do you think is?

Be a man & show your talent by building something that can PASS a vehicle inspection. Bribing the inspectors only shows that you DO NOT have the ability to build a car that meets even the littlest of standards. Doesnt say much for your ability does it?
By bribing them, you are only showing the world( because this can be read by anyone) that you are a substandard automotive enthusiast , that cant do things legally.

EDIT:: I just looked at your page( in your sig) & noticed you still only have the DE & not a swap...
You cant get the DE to pass emissions? Why not?
