Angry KA investment

Is it just me or does everyone whos planning on doing a swap absolutly HATE investing money in their KA to get them around until they're ready for the swap or until they have the money...

I know I do.

Like: "$500 for parts...*forehead slap* ..I could have used that to go toward the SR..."

I have zero power mods on the KA. It is fine the way it is. I am saving for the SR though. Either it or a KA-T will be in the car by next spring.

I have EXACTLY this problem, but it looks like I'll be dropping money on the KA just to get it to run. I have to be able to drive the car, but the swap won't happen for at least a year...

Unhappy I have a different problem....

I was going to go with the SR20 but change my mind and now considering upgrade to a K24 DE or rebuilt my engine....Im afraid that the SR20 might cost more in the long run , specially if I get a broken one.....

i don't plan on doing a whole lot to power up the ka24 since i have intentions of swapping. for now, i'd like to leave it stock and upgrade the major component: the driver. if anything, any money that goes into the ka will be for repairs. i can't get seat time in a car that don't run!

The ol KA is in need of a clutch so I figured Id get a spec S1 clutch. Then Berty was like, why not get a flywheel while your at it....So I did, lol. So I got the Spec S1 clutch, the Spec flywheel for 600. I dont want to build my KA either, lol. But Ill end up puttin a little bit more into it probably =D

I had the SPEC stage II. Absolutly loved it to DEATH.

Then it died on me. The clutch face was fine. This was not a "oh you drift so you clutch kick thing" this was a clutch face warped and the springs went square on me problem.

Other than that I loved it and so did everyone that test drove my car.

eh, I wasnt really talking about beefing up the KA. I ment I don't like paying for repairs to keep it running till I get an SR in a year or two. Like right now I have a really big problem...I get like 7 miles to the gallon....
