my buddy just got a eg i believe or ek..we/ but its a 92 w/ b18 c1 (once again, i think that sthe termonology) but it sthe
ls non v tec swap. its a really niec car. It has evan been reffed and is legal.


so.. so since he has this, he has no use for his ka24de motor he bought for his truck. and I recently bought a '90 240sx. sohc.

he wants $300 for the motor, and from what he tells me, he opened it up and found that it has been "done up" ( new pistons, springs, some more stuff i cant remember)


so what do you guys think?

i dont think im interested, cause my dad will kick the sh!ts out of me if i swap.

If it is a truck motor, you will need to change out/modify a few parts on it. Of the top of my head, I know the oil pan is different and the intake manifold is different as well (I think)

the manifold is different, im not sure about the oil pan. you might have to use the ecu and wiring harness since the motors obd2 and yours isnt.

you shouldnt need to use the harness or ecu. s13 harness and ecu will work fine with minimum modification. $300 is a decent price, but honestly i think you would be better off finding a 240sx kade vs. a truck ka.

you should be able to find a KA-DE pretty cheap - your best bet is to find out someone that is doing an sr-swap and tell them you'll buy their KA off of them or find a shop that deals a lot with swaps , also JGY Customs has 2 KA24DE's on sale right now for $200 dollars, but they are in virginia and shipping might kill that idea.

damn. I used to live in virginia. and whats evan worse, my bro just moved to cali from VA.

Actualy i dont know if it is a truck ka or a 240 ka, ima find out.
