so i have to bore my cylinders and so on cuz my piston rings are shot welll i desided to get a block from another ka24e and just get a gasket set and drop my head on it !!!that should work right???well second part is i am planning to get a bnlock from a nissan truck its much cheaper and is exactly the same am i right???is there any other blocks i could drop my head on too!???

 

most likely just the truck engine and any other KA24E engine....


but dropping the head on that spare ka block will work just fine

 

The Stanza also came with a KA24E, but it won't work. Just incase you get the idea.

 

how come stanza wan't work just out of curiosity??? isn't ka24e block the same for all ka24e ??? will the one out of the truck work thow?and also what is requerd to put dohc head on ka24e block if thats possible...

 

are most parts intercangable on the KA24E and the KA24DE ?
like the oil pan? and are the transmissions (240 not a stanza).

the transmissions (240's) are interchangable from ka24e to ka24de. i dropped a ka..de into my 89 and the tranny matched up fine.

i'm not completely positive if the stanza engine will work.. its the same one but mounted differently (front wheel vs real wheel drive) so might not be a direct drop. could run into mounting and matching probs.

a dohc head will not fit on a sohc

lots of parts are interchangable between the two engines (e and de) but not things like a wiring harnesses, ecu, maf, ps pumps due to mounting. not sure about the oil pan though.

 

yea i would belive the engi ne from a stanza wont drop in correctly cus its a FWD car.
