Making upper arms

iam trying to make my own upper arms for the rear to fix my camber, iam not worried about it being adjustable o just need to have anything close to 0 degree of camber...now i need a strong type of steel, do you guys think home depot stuffs will be strong enough to hold this??? lets say i use a 1.5in pipe i can also put a 1 inch pipe inside of it just to reinforce it a little...here is my idea...

to make it fit around the shocks i will be using a square design instead of the other half cut hemispherical type...what do you guys think...
