sup 240 lovers, i have an sr20det motor and my car is running fine, only thing is that i have a metallic sound in my engine?? its not affecting my performance as far as i know, but it sounds like a lifter or rocker arm went out... anybody ever had this problem before and if so should i just spend the money to upgrade all my internals??

mabey something to do with vavle train too. is it a loud thunk or like a tap?

 

you may have a bent or burnt valve or a bas rocker arm that is causing a tapping sound. you should be able to tell if it coming from the top of the engine or the bottom.

 

its coming from the top, its not loud, its subtle you have to really listen but yeah its more of a tapping your right! how much yalls think it'd cost to buy everything to upgrade my engine
