My 1995 OBDII or Not?
My 1995 OBDII or Not?
I have searched and cannot find what I need to know. I have a 1995 240sx with a production date of 5/94. I was looking on obdii.com and the plug they show looks the same but I was wondering if I have obdII or not. Here's a picture of the plug I found. Since pre-'96 cars aren't required to have the plug under the dash I was wondering if it would be the plug where the passenger's left foot would be ( which is where it is on the '95 obdII Maxima. Thanks.
man yo gotta make sureyou get up under that thing, i only saw one at first but then after getin underit to change my tranny fluid i finnally saw the second one,its pointing to the passenger side just before the cat or whatever, i had this delima too, and i never did find that dam port, can you tell me exactly where it is lol
i just went and took a pic but its was from a cell phonse so its crappy but i put labels so you can kinda tell where stuff is

yup that definatly look like it....i have notice that most of the autos are obdII and the manuels are obdI, wonder if its just a coincidence or what, and thats for that pic of where the sensor is i was lookin under the driver side lol....man ur pic is soooo much better than mine lol
I have also heard another way to tell is to look at the O2 sensor on the manifold. If it has 1 wire it's obdI and 3 wires is OBDII. Is this true? I have 1 wire (Green) on the front and 3 wires (Red, White, Black) on the rear.
I believe your car is just OBI. I have a '96 and I believe Nissan said it was the first year the 240 become OBII. Please do not quote me though. I just had my car fixed to pass emissions, and the OBII stuff was a pain in the neck.
