My wipers aren't working. Help?

So my wipers went out on me today. I think its the wiper motor but im uncertain. If anyone can help me figure it out i'd appreciate it. It seems simple but im not an experience mechanic. I can probably fix it once i figure out what's wrong with it.

I looked at the service manual but it doesn't help much. It just gives me the wiring diagram and that's it. Doesn't really tell me where the wiper motor would be located or how i can remove and replace it.

Anyway, the symptoms are

When i turn on the wiper to run, the wipers don't move but i can hear what it sounds to be the motor running but the wipers don't move at all. I'm not uncertain if its the wiper motor or not b/c i can hear it running.

Does anyone know how to remove this part? Or is there "how to" for removing the wiper motor?

I tried looking on nico's tech pages but wasn't able to find anything on it.

Any thoughts on this?

Usually on the passenger side in the engine bay. If you can "hear" the motor, follow the sound. Check fuses also.

check and make sure its plugged in and also look under the passenger wheel well and make sure the wire is not broken.

However, i listened to where the motor was making the noise was coming from and this is where it was. I even unplugged it to see if it made a difference and plugged it back in. Still the same.

that is the motor bro. maybe its broken... or its possible that the linkage inside is broken.

if so you will have to pull up the plastic molding right above the wiper motor and check it out.

easy fix if you must replace it.

Hmm interesting. It's possible that the linkage inside might be broken b/c i can still hear the motor running as if the wipers are still working when i turn on the switch.

If that's the case, i hope its an easy fix. Or is it? How do you take off the plastic anyway?

its one piece all the way across you just pull up on it.. its held in with clips. The linkage does break because one wiper was broken on my skyline..

I fixed it with jb weld and zip ties in under 10 min.
