NEED ANSWERS ASAP!! lol :P
hmmm, well since i got the new manifold, i extended the m so i could run the wiring harness underneath the manifold. i know the negative for each plug is 18g, the positive is like a 17 so i ran 16g for the positive. pretty sure its only 10 amps, not sure on the voltage. damn, shoulda invested in a voltometer. i might have to borrow one, you guys know the voltage for them at stock length? or a place i could see how much?
It only matter if the gauge of the wire is tiny. If it is 18 AWG then a couple feet will not matter. If it is 30 AWG then yes, a couple feet will matter. I only see this being a problem if he wrapped the wire around the car a couple times. HAHA.
ok awesome. and another thing. i was running a SOHC KA throttle cable, the actual cable where it coneccted to the throttle body was the long enough but i still have to make a custom bracket. th only thing was that the overall length was running overtop of the valve cover. so i got a DOHC KA cable and put it on, overall length is perfect cuz it runs behind the engine between the firewall and engine BUT now where it connects to the hrottle body is too short and if i made a bracket, i would have to extend itand it would hit the pulley at WOT. anybody know if the actually SR20 throttle cable would be perfect or should i just tun the SOHC over the valve cover?
I am not actually sure about this. I used some safety wire to hold the cable in place. I think most people just use the KA throttle cable. I think they make special throttle cables for the swap. This is a common thing that is over-looked. HAHA.
You get the motor in and everything hooked up and then you look at the throttle cable and just stare at it dumbfounded. haha.
